Ok so we have been in Japan for over a month now. Things are starting to smooth out, we have a cool place, julie has a good job (i work there part time) and i have learnt how to be a house wife ie cooking and cleaning (still need some help).

The main exciting things that have happened since the last post are

  • I bought a Gun- yes its true but not what you think. i bought a air soft. Or a pellet gun , i have always loved them. In fact i was like a little kid with it, the first thing i wanted to do was take it home and show Julie. I knew she would be as impressed as i was with the semi automatic action, real looking magazine and the fact that it is a really cool, SIG replica. Unfortunately she liked it so much that i found myself walking out of the kitchen to "Hey babyness" BANG me:" ahhhrrrrr" Julie: " oh shit was it loaded? "me: " Ummmm yes !!!!". Anyway instant bruise ..... now its just a matter of time before i have a little accident too.
  • Went to the imperial garden - All i can say about this place is amazing (no photos yet ... we forgot the battery and memory card both of which are needed to take photos apparently) you emerge from Hibya station emerged in urban jungle, then you wander the down the street until you find an amazing clearing with no massive skyscrapers, just trees and an imperial palace on the mountain. I could not believe my luck stumbling upon this place. The imperial palace is surrounded by a moat with massive sloping rock walls all built by hand some time in the last 1000 years or so. well cool, but all i could imaging is Ninjas climbing up the sides with their weapons in tow.
  • Julie bought a DSi. Awesome little machine. It was only yesterday so we have no games yet but we intend to download from the net or R4 card please... in which case we cant actually do a firmware upgrade. However with the awesome wireless device we bought for our apartment earlier we just have to click a button to get the DSi connected to the net. SOOOO sweet.
  • Typhoon.... some say that it did actually hit parts of Japan and maybe even killed one person ... but i was disappointed that it never hit Tokyo. In fact it was a perfect day with blue skies and about 25 degrees. However a few days ago i could have sworn we had a slight earth quake.... i know this because i wasn’t drunk and stuff was swaying.

I think that is about it. we have Halloween coming up which is really cool because i haven’t had a Halloween since i was 3 years old in Alabama... this time im helping out at the school. i have bought a pumpkin mask (well cool) but im going to keep it pretty tame because the last thing i want to do is literally scare the shit out of these kids.
